Went to the library. I didnt get any books, but C (age 9) got a childrens sign language book. He has been very interested in American sign language and this is the second time he checked out this book. Fun!! N is really into Goosebumps. I dont know when or how he found out about them, since he is only four. Ms K got a book about the Titanic. She is definitely going to be OUR daughter and be a history buff.

Went to Del Taco. I know that I shouldnt eat there, as I need to lose about 100 lbs. But it is so tasty, and so cheap. I got the chili cheese fries. But I only ate half of them. That is saying something.

Went to buy wood. Hubby is a big BBQ freak. Its a serious obsession. He is the only cook in the house, so every night, rain or shine, he is outside BBQing. We got Grape wood, Red oak, Alder, and Pecan. It will be interesting to see (or taste) the different flavors that will come of our food.

We went thru boxes. It is very sad, but we have ALOT of our stuff in boxes. (We dont have our own home) We are trying to condense our stuff so when we do move (hopefully next summer) we dont have crap, and we are organized. So we got 10 boxes down to 4. Yay.

We had dinner. Stir-fry. It was okay. The chicken was really good. (DH bbq’dit) And the veggies were good once they were covered in teriyaki sauce.

And now, I blog.

You know how you can see what people have typed in to find your blog? What is the weirdest thing people have typed in to find you? Mine?

Alien eating dog.

Fun.

Today is going on day 12 of my headache. If you havent heard about it, which you probably did not because I havent blogged about it, It started on Tuesday of last week. Just a mild dull ache in my forehead and right temple. I didnt think much of it, really. I dont have problems with headaches.

So when it hit day 3, I finally said something to hubby and the girls at work. By Friday (day 4) it was really bothering me. Still, it didnt hurt that bad. Just the dull ache. Once in a while I would get a sharp pain, but nothing I could deal with.

On Monday, I still had the damn thing, so I went to the Dr. They gave me samples of Maxalt- which is for migraines. It didnt help. They also gave me a muscle relaxer, just in case it was due to tight muscles in my neck. Again, didnt work. (I did sleep well though.) Motrin 600, didnt work. I have Vicodin, didnt work.

By yesterday (Friday) I called the Dr again. She wasnt in, but they did call me back, and told me that the other Dr in the office wanted me to come in and be seen, instead of them just calling in an RX for me. Of course it was a Friday, and they wernt going to see me then. I now have to wait the whole weekend, and I cant get in until Tuesday. (They did have an apt on Monday, but I cant get off work.) and of course, it is no longer a dull ache, but a full blown pounding.

I did get some Excedrin migraine (which by the way is EXACTLY the same as Extra strength), and just popped one of those. Hubby said when he got migraines before, he could take a Vicodin and it wouldnt help but this did. So heres hoping. I will keep you all updated.

Here is what you need: (Remember I have a large family. You can adjust it to your liking.)

  • Chicken. Cooked and cubed. 3 breasts.
  • Cream cheese. 2 containers.
  • Croissants. The tubed kind. 5 of tubes.
  • Cream of chicken soup. 3 cans.
  • Greased cookie sheet.
  1. Preheat the oven to 425.
  2. Mix together cream cheese, soup, and chicken in a bowl.
  3. Spread out the croissants.
  4. Scoop some of the filling onto the croissant.
  5. Roll them up.
  6. Pop in the oven for 11-13 minutes or until golden.

Tada. Soooooooo good. Variation: Instead of croissants, use pizza crust. Throw in the crust for a few minutes before  using the filling as the toppings, or the dough wont cook all the way. Again, sooo good.

I am all for breastfeeding. And seriously, feel free to breastfeed in public. But please, I do draw the line somewhere.

The other day, I decided to take my 4yo son to the library. Great times were had by all. They have a childrens section that is kind of  blocked off from the rest of the library. They have 2 computers there for the kids, as well as an audio center. My son and I were sitting in one corner on the computers, facing the wall. Our time was up, so we got up to leave. I walked my 4 yo thru the childrens center, and what did I see? A lady breastfeeding. Normally this wouldnt bother me, except that the WHOLE boob was hanging out for the whole childrens section to see. This is where I draw the line. Do I care that she was bf’ing? no. Do I even care that she was in the childrens section? No. But come on!! She could have covered up a little bit! There were children there! My son did not need to see some strange ladies boob.

Am I wrong?

What do you think?

Today I think I hit my all time low of hits on my blog. Thats not counting the first two days I was up and running and got almost no hits at all. So what am I doing wrong. I guess I must whore my comments around again and get people here. It makes me feel so dirty. But then I get alot of interesting reading done.

Speaking of dirty, whoring and interesting reading, I have finished my romance novel. Started a new one (cant remember what its called, but it is by Catherine Coulter. I have borrowed a bunch of hers from the library lately.) and have 4 more waiting for me. New author. I will let you all know how they turn out.

(AP Photo/N. C. Wildlife Resources Commission)

ELKIN, N.C. – David Hayes’ granddaughter just ask him to hold her Barbie rod and reel while she went to the bathroom. He did. And seconds later he landed the state record channel catfish at 21 pounds, 1 ounce.

Alyssa’s father had bought the pink Barbie fishing rod for Christmas and she had caught a few bluegill before her grandfather hauled in the catfish.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported the catch Aug. 5 in eastern Wilkes County has been certified as a record by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

Hayes and his granddaughter have been fishing in the pond behind his house since she was big enough to hold a pole.

Hayes said his granddaughter worried he would break her rod. He landed the 21-pound fish on a 6-pound test line. It was 32 inches long, 2 inches longer than the rod.

If you were to see what people type into the search engines to get to my blog, you may not be surprised to see:

  1. Cheerios
  2. Eye glasses
  3. Music

But can you believe that the #1 thing people type in to get to me is:

FROGGYLOVE!!!

Oh the excitement! They like me, they really really like me! I think I will give myself a little award.

It’s crazy, right? To have a certain mustard you will eat. Well, I have one. French’s. Everything else is crap. I will eat only French’s unless forced to do otherwise. And you know how I feel about my hot dogs. I would never ruin my wonderful hot dog experience by lowering myself to using other kinds. Oh, and dont give me any of that crappy brown or spicy crap. Give me the good mustard of the Gods, yellow mustard. I dont know who thought that they could compete with French’s. But there is no comparison. French’s.

The makers of French’s Mustard made the following recent statement:

“We at the French’s Company wish to put an end to statements that our
product is manufactured in France. There is no relationship, nor has there ever been a relationship, between our mustard and the country of France.
Indeed, our mustard is manufactured in Rochester, NY. The only thing we have in common is that we are both yellow.”
