I had been taking Ambien CR for about 2 months. I have 2 doctors, one that is close to my house( DR #1)- which I usually go to for a fast fix like colds and flus. Then there is one I go to when I have big complaints. This Dr is a little further away, but I really like him (DR #2). One of my complaints is that I cannot sleep. I can fall asleep just fine, but I always wake up durring the night and I toss and turn. So he gave me Ambien. This stuff is amazing. I sleep all night. I have back pain, too, which is why I toss and turn, but that doesnt bother me as much when I take the Ambien.

So, I went to Dr #1, who asks what meds I’m taking. (He knows I go to Dr #2.) I told him, and he tells me that I shouldnt take them all the time because they are addicting. GREAT!! I have been taking them for this long, and every night!! So what do I do? Take the things and sleep- but be addicted. OR not take them, not be addicted and not sleep. I have been trying not to take them, but I really cant sleep. Jeez.

Hi
I am going through the same thing I have been taking them for about 2 months. Its the only way I sleep, But I want to stop. Can you tell me some of the advice you received from people on how to stop taking them without hurting your self
Thanks
I havent gotten any advice on what to do. Unfortunatly, I am still in limbo. I cant sleep with out them, but I dont want to take them. I was thinking of getting the lower dose and then taking that for a while and ween myself off it. But I still havent slept in about 3 days without tossing and turning and I lay awake until about 4. Grrr!
